…and Daisy is settling in pretty well.
She has spent the week in the cattle yard and has now got to the stage where she will take bits and pieces from our hand. The other day we managed to get a halter on her so that’s a bit of a help.
Initially I was quite sad that she had her horns removed…but we let her out today for the first time and she was a bit handy with her head so I’ve reviewed my opinion a bit LOL!!!
Still here’s hoping she settles in. If she doesn’t well then we put her in calf ..hopefully get a heifer and then I will train that from the word go to be on a halter. It will set things back further but when it comes to milking a cow I would rather have one that’s really OK….anyway that’s not a worry yet so we’ll see how things go.
