Take a Kid Fishing day is something that happens every year at the Groynes Lakes about half and hour from where we live.
On this occasion the Isaac Wildlife Trust have donated over 1,000 salmon which have been released in the Groynes fishing lakes.
It’s free for all children under 17, including the fishing licence for the day.
We take our little un there quite often through the year so he can have a fish …the chances of catching something are higher and so it keeps the interest going.
The take a kid fishing day is great because it encourages people to take their kids out with a fishing rod who wouldn’t normally do that (there were some walking towards with fishing rods still in the wrapping)….the downside…. it’s PACKED!!!
This time we didn’t get anything …………… hey that’s fishing !
